Cooking class with traditional dishes
Are you interested in healthy eating, cooking and baking? Do you want to find out how the famous savory green pies and the Ikarian soufiko is made? This is the right place for you!
Come to participate at our cooking class to unlock one of the secrets of Ikarian longevity and discover the healthy Mediterranean diet! During this lesson you will learn the traditional ways of preparing Greek and Ikarian dishes that mostly consist of vegetables, featuring some meat only occasionally. The dishes will be prepared with fresh, seasonal vegetables, greens and herbs that we pick up from the kitchen garden beforehand. You will get familiar with the basic ingredients of Ikarian and Greek cooking, learn the cooking techniques and take the recipes home with you so can share these delicious and healthy dishes with family and friends.
At the end of the class we will sit at the table together and enjoy the dishes we just made with some Ikarian wine.
The duration of the class itself is about 3 hours which will be followed by the meal.
Please note that some basic knowledge of cooking is required for this course.
